It is now coming close to a year since my wife and I rode out to explore Arunachal Pradesh at the coaxing of SarathShenoy, who had been there earlier and was planning to ride out there again.

Since riding the bike over the last few months, mainly on overnighters, or quick spins for breakfast to destinations like Ooty, this destination interested me and ended up convincing my better half.

Ok, the discussion around this ride started as back as August / September 2015 and there were many hands that went up, in the initial stages of planning and as the D day came up, which was scheduled for the 5th December, it was just Sarath and we!

This is the first time, Anitha, my wife joins me on this long a ride, matter of fact, a big one for me too after my circumnavigation of the world almost over 2 decades back… so, it indeed was a super test of many things!

First was leave! Since I work in a financial institution, from a Compliance perspective, we mandatorily need to stay away from work for 10 consecutive days, plus add the weekends and if you have managed your leave well during the year, by not taking too many for no reason, you can request your manager for that additional week, making it 3 weeks in a row…. That is a good 21 days at a stretch! Sorted!

December 5, 2015: Out of the cozy comfort of our home towards Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Bhubhaneshwar, bypass Kolkata and then reach Siliguri, that would be December 8.

Sarath got pulled into sponsorship committals and had to slow down….. which meant, we were on our own!

Below here are my pictorial memories.. this is just a prelude to how exciting a ride within #Incredible India can be…
